Zach Wasilew is a seasoned M&A professional in for-profit higher education and education institutions serving students of early childhood education, K-12 and special education. Mr. Wasilew began his career in higher education serving as the lead of Corporate Development for Rasmussen University, acquiring and building new campus locations to assist in the expansion of enrollment from 1,800 students to 18,000 students.
Wasilew has concluded a variety of M&A transactions acquiring or selling on behalf of the educational institutions, strategic acquirors, or private equity investors. As lead of M&A in these transactions, Wasilew managed all negotiations, compliance, government affairs, financing, and the management of the buyer-seller relationship before, during and after the transaction. Additionally, he has overseen transactions that involved conversions to and from for-profit and non-profit tax status.
He has served as a Chief Financial Officer of a residential school serving students with special needs. Mr. Wasilew has also managed a business unit for a NYSE exchange traded publicly held provider of education services.
