Dr. Jonathan Wexler is currently the Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Management at Nova Southeastern University (NSU Florida), the largest private research university in Florida and the seventh largest in the United States. He oversees undergraduate and graduate admissions across NSU’s nine campuses, including locations in Florida, Colorado, and Puerto Rico.
Prior to joining NSU, Dr. Wexler served as Vice President for Enrollment Management at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), where he led record-breaking growth in applications, enrollment, and academic quality. He has also held senior enrollment leadership roles at Fairleigh Dickinson University, the University of Puget Sound, Polytechnic University, and Drexel University.
Dr. Wexler holds an executive doctorate degree in higher education management from the University of Pennsylvania, a master’s degree in higher education administration from the University of South Carolina, and dual bachelor’s degrees in political science and communications from Goucher College, where he served on the board of trustees from 2018 to 2025.
His research focuses on institutional mergers in higher education, particularly the financial indicators that signal when merger consideration is prudent. He developed the Merger Runway Index (MRI) to help institutions proactively assess their long-term viability.
